Bucca

Bucca are tiny little winged fey that live deep underground. They have a love of shiny items, and often are despised by dwarves and miners for their tendency to steal gems and other precious materials to horde in their lairs. The entrances to these are often inaccessible to others, being tiny and situated high off the ground, leading through cramped, often trapped tunnels. They have bat wings and their skin ranges from dark purple to grey to black, which helps them stay hidden against darker stone walls even from creatures that can see without light. They also brew their own poison, the secret of which has not yet been uncovered by anyone else, and may be somewhat magical in nature.

Derro occasionally capture bucca and “encourage” them to act as treasure seekers and scouts, bullying the fey into service. These relationships are rarely friendly, but if the derror provide enough payment to counteract the bullying, they can last for a while without the bucca attempting to flee. They are still easily turned against the derro with promises of treasure and freedom, which the derro rarely properly account for. Bucca will also occasionally trade with goblins and kobolds, looking to collect additional treasure in exchange for information, useful items, or even for trained bats as messengers or guard animals.

Poisoned Dagger +6 vs. AC – 3 damage.
Natural Even Hit: The target is also dazed (save ends). If the target was already dazed, it is instead weakened (save ends). If it was already weakened, it is instead stunned (save ends).
Invisibility: When not engaged, the bucca can turn invisible as a standard action. It becomes visible when it attacks. The bucca takes 1d4 damage if it uses invisibility while staggered.
Sunlight Vulnerability: The bucca is vulnerable to all damage if it’s exposed to sunlight.
Swift Flight: The bucca can fly, and gains a +5 bonus to disengage checks while flying.
